- I've heard both sides of this discussion, and I would say alot
- is dependent on which OS you are running...
- a standard 16550AF has served my WFWG machine quite well (after some
- adjustments to the .ini files), but when I reinstalled OS/2 Warp over it
- - the Hayes ESP made quite the difference. Dittos for the Solaris 2.4
- x86 (Sun UNIX) - It was a "requirement" to get my port speeds above 19.2
- consistantly. But the Hayes/v.Everything combination is one I have run
- for quite some time - and I don't think I'd go back to a standard
- 16550AF - 'cept for my mouse.
